Presentation

HERMES, a research center for economics of public utilities (local public transport and other regulated services), was founded in October 2000 by Compagnia di San Paolo, ASSTRA (Association of Italian Public Transport Operators) and the University of Turin. The Center cooperates with the Institute of the National Research Council Ceris-CNR (Center for Economic Research on Firms and Growth) in Turin. HERMES is located in Moncalieri (Turin) at the "Fondazione  Collegio Carlo Alberto" and is directed by Giovanni Fraquelli (University of Eastern Piedmont).
